SHIPBOARD – ONBOARD VACANCIES

Shorex Manager

The Shorex Manager exudes a vibrant and enthusiastic personality with passion and expertise in efficiently managing and overseeing the shipboard Shore Excursion program with utmost responsibility.
He/She will handle, manage and be responsible of the shipboard Shore Excursion program, including: sales, port operations, related guest services, financial targets, and administrative functions. This position requires excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, interpersonal relationships, customer service, conflict-resolution, planning, and strong organizational skills (working methods, activities, guests). Ability to lead and manage a team of onboard shore excursion staff.
Training of staff in charge in relation to standard processes. Aside from training, coaching, anddeveloping direct reports and members of the Shore Excursion team, the Shorex Manager will also monitor tours and inspect new excursions to constantly review quality control. Sales experience in travel and tourism, experience in presenting and speaking to large audiences, and knowledge of ports, tours, and itineraries (Caribbean, Europe, Baltic, South America, Australia, Asia, Mediterranean, and Alaska) are required for this role. The candidate must be fluent in English. In addition to English, is desirable to also speak two (2) of the following languages: Italian, Spanish, French, and German.

Shorex Assistant Manager

A successful Shorex Assistant Manager should have an unbridled passion and infectious enthusiasm for what they do. This role consists in assisting the Shorex Manager with the overall management of the shore excursion program, including product development, sales, and operations. This is a position that requires skills in customer service, safety, guest engagement, revenue generation, expense control.
He/she will oversee the day-to-day operations of the shore excursion program, including ensuring that shore excursions are running smoothly and that any issues are quickly resolved. He/She will assist with the development of new shore excursion products and ensuring that existing products are updated and
improved. A strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide exceptional service to passengers is also required. The candidate must be fluent in English. In addition to English, is desirable to also speak two (2) of the following languages: Italian, Spanish, French, and German. Shorex Sales Staff

Be the face and voice of the Shore Excursions Department. This position will educate guests on the destination and inspire them to participate in shore excursions. Shore excursions sales team helps the passengers maximize their visits to the different ports by promoting, explaining, selling and offering
tours and packages before they go ashore. They also provide passengers with information about the excursion’s itineraries, prices, requirements, logistics, and availability. They ensure guest services are up to date on all current port and tour related materials. This position also collaborates with other departments, such as operations and product management, to ensure that shore excursion offerings are aligned with company goals and objectives. Prepares and submits required reports. The candidate must be sales-driven and with excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask. Also, excellent interpersonal and public communication skills. Must be service minded with an outgoing, charming and friendly personality. Must be able to remain calm under pressure.
